Tobit Curteis set up the practice in 1992 and is the managing partner. Following a degree in the History of Art at Warwick University, Tobit undertook his postgraduate training in the conservation of wall paintings at the Courtauld Institute of Art, in conjunction with the Getty Conservation Institute, subsequently working in Florence and Rome. In parallel with his work on historic wall paintings, Tobit has, for over twenty years, been developing environmental survey and monitoring techniques for historic buildings. He is an accredited member of the Institute for Conservation, a fellow of the Society of Antiquaries, and a fellow of the International Institute for Conservation. He works as a consultant for Historic England, is the Advisor on Wall Paintings for the National Trust and regularly lectures and publishes on environmental and conservation issues. Click here to Email Tobit Curteis

Vicky Curteis gained an MA in Modern Languages at Trinity College, Oxford and a PGCE at the Institute of Education, University of London. Following a successful career in education, she was a founding partner of Tobit Curteis Associates LLP. Fiona Henderson gained a degree in History at St Catharine’s College, Cambridge, followed by an MA in Architectural History and an MA in the Conservation of Wall Paintings at the Courtauld Institute of Art. As both a wall painting conservation student and a qualified professional she worked in India, Bhutan, Georgia, Cyprus and Malta. She undertook research into the use of thermal imaging in the diagnosis of deterioration of wall paintings. Sarah-Jane Fox gained a dual degree in Art History and International Relations at the University of British Columbia, followed by an MA in the Conservation of Wall Paintings at the Courtauld Institute of Art, where she undertook research into image-based monitoring of surface deposits on wall paintings . As both a wall painting conservation student and a qualified professional she worked in Bhutan, Georgia, India and the UK. Kitty Graham gained a degree in Philosophy and Religion with a minor in Architectural Studies from Emory University, followed by an MPhil in Theology at Darwin College, University of Cambridge. As a student, she wrote dissertations on the cultivation of empathy through public memorial architecture and the theological impact of town planning on urban church communities.
